An ability of the cavalier is I think that they get one reaction for each of the enemies turns so if you have polearm master and sentinel it allows you to opportunity attack when they enter your 10ft range. Bugbear + Polearm Master + Sentinel = a 40-foot diameter circle of fuck you

Reach weapons are useful for hit and run. You get up to 10ft. of an enemy, hit him, and then retreat, provoking no AoO yourself because you were not in its 5ft. reach (most monsters range is 5ft., though not all). You also get to cover a larger area than other people, meaning more monsters are in danger of you.

9 vegan_cookies5 • 3 yr. ago I would actually go bugbear, since they start with an additional 5 foot reach, so 15ft reach on top of your 10x10 space. I would start with 17 strength and pick up PAM at 4 and max out strength by 8 and GWM or sentinel at the next asi.
